And, no you can’t purchase them afterwards because they are all FREE thanks to Planters Bank. Beth will have the photos available for digital download within 2-3 days of the event.

Yes, all finishers will receive a custom-made Mississippi River Marathon medal for your respective distances.
If I run really fast, is there a chance you will have an award for me?
Why yes, we will have awards ready for pick up at the post-race party!!! You don’t even have to be really fast, just fast enough to beat all but two other people in your age group and place in the top three. We have many participants who think they have no chance of winning an award, and they don’t check at the results table after they finish. Needless to say, we ship quite a few awards each year. We have awards (male and female) for overall (three deep), top master, top grand master, and age group awards in five-year increments for BOTH the full and half marathons.
If I run really slow, will you kick me off the course?
Both races have a 7 hour time limit. We’ve never needed to extend that limit for participants, but if we had to stretch it a little we probably could. We might just ask that you move to the sidewalk to not impede traffic.
What if the weather conditions are iffy for race weekend?
Start 2 Finish (S2F) Events generally operate under a "rain or shine" policy for its races. While standard weather (rain, snow, or wind) typically does not cause a cancellation, specific protocols are in place for severe conditions.
Inclement Weather Policy
- General Rule: Events take place regardless of rain or snow unless conditions are deemed severe or unsafe by organizers.
- Cancellation/Postponement: Races may be canceled or delayed only in cases of severe weather (e.g., ice, lightning, extreme heat, or tornadoes) or unsafe road conditions.
- Refunds: Consistent with industry standards, no refunds or credits are provided if an event is cancelled or altered due to weather or other acts-of-god.
Communication Protocol
If a race must be postponed or canceled, S2F Events typically notifies participants through the following channels:
- Email Alerts: Sent directly to registered participants.
- Website Updates: A notice is posted at the top of the event's Race Roster page, usually by 5:30 AM on the morning of the event.
- Social Media: Updates are also posted to the event's official Facebook and Instagram pages.
For specific race inquiries, you can contact Start 2 Finish Event Management via email at support@s2fevents.com.
